On Friday, September 1, 2017, the Hornets began their plan to even up their series play score against the Pace Academy Knights.  The were victorious in grand style, 37 - 3.  In this game that has been dubbed a 'city rivalry,' the Hornets dominated from beginning to end. During the 2nd quarter, the Hornets kept their hands and eyes on the ball and led by 18 going into halftime.  Hornets Coach Winston Gordon summed it up best when he said, "(this team has been) nine years in the making.
